F2 MOTORCYCLES LTD - URALMOTO |
|
The IMZ factory opened in Irbit in 1941 following
the move of all heavy industry from areas close to Moscow to newly formed
industrial areas in Siberia. They have been imported to Britain by various
companies and under various names including Cossack, Neval, Uralmoto and
finally simply as Ural. |
|
Did they copy BMW after the war ? |
|
This rumour continues to be repeated and added to.
It is a simply fact that factory known as MMZ producing the original 750
sidevalve Russian bike was moved to the Irbit and became IMZ in 1941.
The war had not ended at this point but the bikes where in production. |
|
Do BMW parts fit the Ural M63-M67 650 or the later
750 OHV ? |
|
No, all parts are different because they are not a
copy. |
